FUGITIVE is a fire-spitting experimental quartet based in New York City led by pianist and composer Jonathan Paik. Formed in 2023, the band brings together LA-born creative music standouts Paik, Mark Valdes (drums) and Shogo Yamagishi (bass), along with Seattle-born MC and vocalist Harrison Clark.

 

Together, they explore the fluid borderlands between jazz, experimental hip-hop, and dreamlike abstraction. In any FUGITIVE performance, electrifying free improvisation is balanced with deep grooves and grounded melody, then blended with fragmented, surrealist lyricism.

 

Fresh off their Jazz Gallery debut and recording their first full-length record in Brooklyn, FUGITIVE is preparing to tour the west coast in early 2026.
